AHHH!!!!!

Okay, first of all, mother's day is not the reason for that scream (the name of the post). No, I actually did quite well on mother's day considering I'm not even a mother (nor do I plan to be anytime in the next 20 years... or just ever). My mum paid for me and Seth to go out to eat with her and her two sisters and my grandma in the morning and then also gave us money to go out to Lonestar with my other grandma and uncles and aunt.. oh and Jerry (my grandma's fiance)... (believe me there are much weirder things in my family than my grandma having a fiance.)

Anywho, the first grandma (my mom's mom) gave me money after we ate to buy a purse that caught my eye at Target. Said purse is that first picture up there. (Isn't it awesome?! and it's reversible!)
Onto the second and third pictures: Oh hey! look at that! It looks like it's almost done... hang on... why is the top all ruffly? That's not what it's supposed to look like... Well, maybe it'll look better on, right? Okay, next step in the pattern is to close up the hole in the underarm using 3needle bind off... Wait just a second... There are 2o-some stitches on the sleeve and only 16 on the main part of the body... there needs to be the same number of stitches for three needle bind off, right? Let's check the pattern. *checks pattern... hits head on wall* That's right folks, I put too many stitches on waste yarn allllll the way back at the join of the sleeves... That, and I had my mom try it on as is and the top is still ruffly with it on. All of this means I have to undo all of my work from the past week and do it again.
As you can imagine, I was quite miffed about all of this and decided to take it out on the project by ignoring the project... so I worked on my Slytherin scarf instead. So, the 4th picture is my progress on that. I have the first stripe pattern done! :D?
Oh, and I stopped at JoAnn's on mother's day too and I picked up some clearance yarn for a pair of colorful socks (hopefully I have enough for knee-highs and hopefully I'll finish this pair of socks). I'll post the picture of that yarn some other time... probably the first time that I mess up something in the Harry Potter Plot (tehe.. I like that name....) and decide to work on something else for awhile. Toodles!
