So, I'm bored.

So, I'm so bored that I'm writing a blog just for the heck of it. I am currently in my Excel class half listening to the teacher bungle his way through an apparent review for the exam next week (I think). As I'm not entirely paying attention, I'm not sure on the date of the exam but I think I caught "next week" in there somewhere along with "chapter 9&10". Oh and he's making cheesy jokes about wanting gifts and bribes from all of us... tiring really.
So, anyway instead of listening I'm reading stories on HarryPotterFanFiction.com. I just got done reading two lovely stories by an author with the amusing penname of "blondebouncingferret". The first story I read was called "Daddy" and the second was a one-shot called "One Blue Line". This author might have an obsession with pregnancy because I just realized that that's what they were both about... Very different though. "Daddy" consisted of Ron unknowingly getting Hermione pregnant before heading off to America with Harry for two years for Auror training. Hermione decided not to tell him because she knew he would head back and give up his training to help her and she didn't want him to give up his dream so she kept in contact with him while he was away but never mentioned anything about their daughter, Hannah. About a year in, he broke up with her via letter and... wait... I can't give away the whole story. I'm suggesting it, so you should go read it. :D
Oh, and the next story "One Blue Line" is hilarious! I almost started laughing while the teacher was trying to explain how to name a range... again. Basically, Ginny's sick in the bathroom and she's been sick for the past few days and Harry's all nervous and stuff wondering if she's okay... Then for some odd reason George digs through the trash and finds a muggle pregnancy test, with one blue line (which apparently means pregnant) and... hilarity ensues.
Wow, that line is way overused I think. Hilarity ensues. I think I've read that line in like at least 30% of humor story summaries... but I still really love the phrase. It promises a great story. I'm pretty sure I have a summary with that line in it though, so I might be biased.
Hmmm... what else to write about? Oh, so I forgot my book for this class so I can't do the homework that was due today in class like I usually do. That sucks. And I might as well leave for the lab time considering that I don't have my book so I can't start on next weeks homework either. I really can't believe how long it takes some of the people in this class to do the work though. I mean, I get mine done quickly, I just put it off forever and ever and ever.
I kinda want to go read another story though. I should just leave class and go home to finish up homework (we turn it in online). This turned out to be an odd post.
But I'm not done yet! Or maybe I am.
Hmmm... Oh! Knitting! How could I forget knitting? So, I finished the second Gryffindor scarf (all except for the fringe, oh how I hate finishing work), and I've got about a foot and a half square of baby blanket op-art done so far for Sally. I'm starting to think I didn't order enough yarn though seeing as I'm now going through a ball of yarn every few rows it seems like... I am reallllly wanting to make myself some wrist warmers and some leg warmers. It's driving me bonkers! But I already am supposed to be making wrist warmers for Magz, not to mention the billion other projects that I've either started or should have started.
Um, quick list:
Sally's blanket
Mindy's Scarf (almost done!)
Brandi's scarf (from last Christmas!)
Magz' wrist warmers (for her birthday.. last month)
Sra's countless "gifts" (that never seem to get given.. woops... I'm trying to catch up, really!)
My mom's Mother's day top (Yeaaaahhh....)
The hat for Josh (Albring)
Mary's ... does she read this?
Oh, and Christmas stockings for the other Mary (and Clara and whoever else I stupidly said I had time to make for)
Slytherin Sweater Vest (I so can't wait to wear it!)
HP winterwear in general (hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, etc.)

Eh, that's all I can think of right now. I'm sure there's a ton more. Well, I know there's a ton more... I could actually add a lot more to that list of the projects that I've all but given up on.
My UFO list belongs in Area 51 ;) heh, I had to.
So, I wish I could actually get all of that done.. but I know better... I'll at least get eh... half of them done.
My teacher is still going on and on about stuff that doesn't even relate to Excel. Ugh, I wish now that I would have given him a worse review for those Student Opinion Questionaires. *sigh*
I really hate to end this message because that means that I actually have to start paying attention again... or start reading again.
Well, I think I've dragged this on long enough. Back to paying attention to Klassy Kow Ice Cream Sales for the quarter.
Oh! der! I forgot to add the link to those stories:
http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com/viewuser.php?showuid=29596
That should be the link to the authors main page. She has a few other stories as well. I haven't read them yet though.
Buh Bye!

Clara May!

These are just a few pictures of Clara May, Seth's niece. She's modeling the shirt I made her (pattern: Katja on Knitty.com) awhile ago as well as a new skirt and her new cowgirl boots. As you can see in some of the pictures the shirt is technically too small for her now but we'll just pretend it's supposed to be a belly shirt. :D These are basically just the pictures that she actually looked at us. She kept looking everywhere but the camera it seemed.

Here is Clara's emo picture. :D Who knew that an 18 month old could look emo?

This one might just be my favorite and it shows off her new boots.

Okay, we decided to let Clara be a biker babe. She wasn't all that cooperative... but she's still cute... Please ignore me in this picture... Oh, and this picture... (I told you she wasn't exactly cooperating.)

This is another cute one and once again, ignore my legs in the background.

Then we decided that she would be oh so cute posing in the tree. She was extremely fascinated by the mushrooms to her right so it was difficult to get her to look anywhere else. We did eventually manage though.

Heh, in this one she thinks she's looking at a "big birdie up in the tree" but there's not really anything there. Now that's sneaky picture taking. :D

Okay, I swear we did not get Clara high or drunk for this picture. Really. Though I was considering photoshoping a bottle of beer in her hand there for a nice joke. :D I know, I'm terrible.

That's right, stick that butt out, Clara. :D

Ooo... This is another of my favorites.

Clara didn't like this pose too much.

Ah ha... and in this one I'm smiling goofily and making goofy noises in hopes that it will make Clara smile at the camera... Instead she smiles at me... figures.

And here's the biker babe, speeding along. ;)

Ta Da! This one was the result of "Smile at Mommy!" which apparently to Clara means "Go Hug Mommy!"

Anywho, I've been meaning to update for awhile but of course, I've been too lazy. So, I have some updates to post on my latest knitting project, the scarves, but I don't have my camera and I haven't uploaded those pictures yet. However, I have decided that I will be selling Harry Potter House scarves on Etsy.com in the future. I have also decided that I really want to make myself a Hogwart's School Vest before I make myself a Weasley sweater. (Let's see how well that goes lol) So, until my next post... Toodles!

News

Okay, so I have a lot of things to write about today, I think. I haven't updated this in awhile...
First on the agenda:
I FINISHED MY SLYTHERIN SCARF!!! Yay! The first two pictures are my almost willing and excited models respectively. Lol, imagine that. Xena (that's my dog's name) doesn't like being dressed up, even if it's just a scarf. However, my brother loves the scarf and just wishes it were in different colors. :D

Oh, yes, and the shirt my brother is wearing is the same one he wore when we went to see the new Batman movie later that night and he said when he was there that his shirt was a bit blasphemous. Magz got why... and I think I sorta get it... but not completely. Not really that important, but I figured I'd mention it.

Oh, yes, and seeing as I've finished the Slytherin scarf... I've started on Ravenclaw (for Sarah). This is my progress so far though I plan on working on it some more tonight so it won't look like this for much longer. :DOh, and this is just a picture of my slytherin scarf on its own. I love it! It's so warm (so I can't use it right now but it'll be nice in the winter!) and also, I love how professional looking it is. I need to find my tags so I can put a tag on it that says "From the Knitting Needles of Samantha Hintz". My mom got me those for Christmas last year. I couldn't wait to use them and now I finally do and I can't remember where I put them... Probably 'somewhere safe'.

And the final piece of news literally just happened. On my way home from work today, I got in my first fender bender. And it was completely and totally NOT MY FAULT! I was leaving Dundee and I was at a light, in the lane to go straight. The light turned green, the person in front of me started to go but then decided he wanted to turn left (even though he wasn't in the left turn lane) so he stopped. I stopped. The person behind me didn't stop.

I was freaking out and didn't know what to do. So I went through the light and pulled over to the side of the road. I was hoping that the person who hit me would pull over too and I almost thought they weren't. But she did. It was an older lady, way too talkative. Wouldn't stop saying sorry and saying that it was the car in front of me who was at fault (which is technically true, I suppose). So anyway, I called my dad and asked what I should do. There wasn't any real damage done as far as I can tell. He told me to file a police report anyway. So, because I felt weird calling 911 for a fender bender in which no one was hurt, I called Subway to ask the two cops who were eating in there when I left if they could come do the report.

So, one of the cops (named Officer Jordan) came by and dealt with everything. Strangely, I just thought of something... When he was done, he told me that technically he didn't need to file a report because there was no visible damage but that he would because it was me. I just realized how odd that is. It's not like we're really friends or anything... he just comes into Subway. *shrug*

My best guess is that it's because just in case there's damage that isn't visable right away, there will be a report that I can show the insurance company.

Anywho, I'm fine, my car's fine so it's not even really a big deal. But you know me. I freak out when it comes to things like this. Knowing the cop really helped though. If it had been some random cop I think I may have died from hyperventilating or something.

Let's see, any other news...

Sarah got the job as a music teacher or whatever!!! YAY!! That's doubly good now, because one of our best friends, Brandi, is moving back down to Tennessee. Now that Sra has a job too it means that we'll both actually be able to afford to visit her sometimes. :D

Anything else? Hmmmmmm...
Oh, well I'm currently reading a suggestion from Sra on FF.net. It's a series with a character named Danger in it. It's pretty good actually. Though there's a lot of Mary-Sue action in it... It's tolerable though. I've finished the first story. It's called "Living With Danger" by "whydoyouneedtoknow". That is actually the name of the author by the way. I'm about halfway through the second one now, I think. It's called "Living Without Danger". These stories have Hogwart's Founders, a werewolf tamer (Danger, Remus' wife and Hermione's older sister), Harry, Hermione, and Draco living as siblings, pairings include Sirius/OC (Aletha Freeman), Remus/ OC (Gertrude "Danger" Granger), Draco/Luna, Neville/OC (Meghan Black, Sirius and Aletha's daughter), Hermione/Ron (I think. There hasn't been much of this yet), and Harry/Ginny (this is just starting to show up). The story also includes: hiding from the ministry, then Sirius being ruled innocent, animagi up the yin yan, a pack and a pride, prophesies up the yin yan, Seer Luna, Seer Danger, music, wizard Dudley, evil!Nott, quidditch, denning, etc.
Most of that probably made no sense to you but if some of it sounded interesting, try reading the story. Search for it on Fanfiction.net. There's a link to FF.net in my links area.

Now, considering the fact that Sarah's the only person who usually ever reads this... this entire post was worthless because I just talked to her and told her all of the above. However, if someone else just happens to read this... Wow. Let me know, just 'cause I can't believe that anyone else would ever read this. :D

I think that's everything :D

Fine!

I'm being forced to update this by Sarah. I'm not sure what I'm going to write about yet... Let's see what pictures I have...

Ah Ha! The first two pictures is of my newest b-day gift from Sarah (she's given me three so far! and the only other person to give me a gift so far was Seth and my b-day was in May) :( ... anywho... that is my new knitting needle holder... which is currently being used to hold little pieces of paper with Harry Potter characters on them instead. That's right, it's being used for my random one-shots. It'll get some knitting needles eventually but I gotta find them first.. heh. I'm not the most organized knitter...

And, I can't believe I haven't posted this sooner but: I GOT A SPINNING WHEEL!! It was technically only $60 at The ReUse store but because I wasn't careful enough, and banks are stupid, it ended up costing me about $120 after overdraft fees. Stupid banks... Anyway, now, all I have to do is learn how to use it, heh... I have tons of wool coming to me, by the sounds of it. Mindy (who is my brother's er.. friend? from Pennsylvania) is sending me some cleaned and carded sheep wool sometime soon in exchange for a Gryffindor scarf and my friend, Jon just told me that he has some wool from his grandma for me (and some carding paddles!!!). Also, my Uncle Gary dropped of a bag of llama wool for me awhile ago (I may have mentioned that before...) and Sarah and I have to clean and card it before we can spin it. Llama wool is supposed to be harder to spin anyway. Oooooo! I can't wait to start spinning!

And... the last picture is a cute picture of my dog, Xena. She's being given bunny ears by my brother, Michael. Tehe. And her eyes are glowing evilly like usual. I just felt like including this one. No real reason. Well, I think that's all I'm going to update about right now. So, toodles!

Riding!

So, today I rode to Hudson Leather Factory Outlet store or whatever with my parents, my aunt and uncle, and a friend of theirs. Actually, first my mom, dad, and I met the other peoples at Artesian Wells (it's a 'sports tavern'). We waited there for what felt like forever... Dad showed us the stage that his band will be playing on in two weeks and we sat around... Finally, Uncle Jon and Aunt Judy showed up with.. er, I don't remember his name... but, heh, (I hope my parents don't secretly read my blog or something) this guy was like, old.. but sexy old... you know? Like he was probably around 50ish but he was still fit and acted like a little kid still. It was kinda funny... Anyway, now that I've finished embarrassing myself by calling a 50 year old sexy... (I feel like Magz right now.. lol) We left for the leather store, which, by the way, has a little fair type biker party thing every memorial, labor day, and 4th of July. We got there extremely late though and only caught like the last 2 songs from the live band and barely anyone was there anymore. My mom still had fun because she managed to talk Dad into getting her chaps and, I think, 3 belly button rings (one of which was the playboy bunny *rolls eyes* Dad's pick of course). I of course got nothing and when I mentioned that Dad had just been complaining that I was riding in tennis shoes and kinda hinted at some new boots, Dad just brought up that fact that my car needs a new tire... Yeah, lame... Anyway, most of the day was pretty uneventful... On the way home, all of the old folks (tehe) ditched me at the state line. You see, we had stopped so they could all put their brain buckets (helmets) back on. While we were stopped though, a guy from the house we'd stopped by came out and was talking to us. Well, he convinced them to go to some bar down the road back in Ohio that was having a biker night or something. I was going to go... oh, and get this!! My mom and dad were trying to tell me that 19 is the legal drinking age in Ohio and so I could go with them but I couldn't drink too much because I was driving my bike. Yeah! I was like, first of all, NO. The drinking age is not 19 in Ohio. It's 21, just like the rest of the country and I'm not going to drink at a bar with my parents. Then the guy whose house we were stopped in front of made things worse by saying, "Oh, they won't card her! They aren't carding anyone tonight!" and my dad was like, "Yeah, ride up on a bike and I'm sure they wouldn't card you." So, regardless to say, I decided to head home on my own and let them have their fun.

Oh, but before I left them, we compared helmets... They were all amazed at the sheer amount of suicided bugs on my bike and myself. It's ridiculous! Bugs like me so much that they even suicide on me more than on other people! Those pictures up there are of my helmet when I got home. Once it got dark, it was like it was snowing there were so many bugs coming at me!

It's My Birthday!!

It's my birthday! Oh, wait, did I just say that? tehe. So, it's my 19th birthday and I'm in a strangely good mood considering that I've only received 1 bday present so far. That present was a green shrug and scarf from Sarah. She probably has a pic up on her blog but I haven't checked. Unfortunately I don't know where I put my camera so I can't post any pictures today... :( I'm a lot farther on my Slytherin scarf though. I have 5 stripe patterns completed now and the best part is that I haven't gotten distracted still. This might be a record! Let's see, oh! I don't remember if I said this in the last post, but I recently put a new one-shot up on fanfiction. It's an implied RonHermione fic called, "You're Welcome". Aaaanndd, I'll be putting another one up once I proofread it one more time that's called, er.. well, I haven't come up with a name yet I don't think... anyway, it's a NevilleGinny fic set during the 4th book. It's basically how Neville asked Ginny to go to the ball with him. It's going to be a total of 4 chapters I think but they're pretty short chapters so I might combine them... It's written from Nevilles PoV first and then from Ginny's PoV. I love getting inside Neville's head. I so don't see him as shy in his own head. I see him as thinking of all sorts of witty comments and whatnot but just never being able to say them outloud... anyway... now that you all think I'm weird ...er...

Hmm.. let's see, well, I got some llama wool from my uncle (he has a llama/emu/chicken farm) and Sarah and I need to figure out when we're going to have fun getting it ready to spin. Oh and I really want a spinning wheel for my birthday... too bad they're reaaaally expensive... Maybe I can ask for just that for christmas this year and all my aunts and my grandma, etc can all go together to get one for me? *shrug* That would be really cool... wow.. I've been all over the place on this post.

hmm.. okay, so I just had an idea... should I post that story I was talking about on here and ask whoever happens to read it what I should name it? or should I just try to come up with a name on my own? *shrug* the only person who reads this regularly is Sarah I think... I had that one random commenter that his/her blog didn't really make sense. I think it was just like a link to somewhere else and I didn't feel like testing to see where that link went. Anywho (again), I just thought of a brilliant idea that will fix everything! I'm going to post it on deviantart and ask what I should name it on there because I have a bunch of friends on there that might read it and make suggestions. Anyone who actually does read this and wants to check out my story can look under the name "Somethingwithatail" at either fanfiction.net or deviantart.com. Wait, can I post a fanfiction on da? hmm.... not sure on that one...

Okay, so that was one long, random post with no pictures... wait, no, I'm going to randomly add a cute picture of Seth's niece, Clara May. There. Okay, so I added two cute pictures of Clara May (I already had those uploaded onto my computer and I just can't take any new pictures like of my progress or anything.)
I'm not sure if all of that made sense, but I don't feel like reading over all of it and I'm sure if I messed up too badly that Sarah will point it out to me eventually.

AHHH!!!!!

Okay, first of all, mother's day is not the reason for that scream (the name of the post). No, I actually did quite well on mother's day considering I'm not even a mother (nor do I plan to be anytime in the next 20 years... or just ever). My mum paid for me and Seth to go out to eat with her and her two sisters and my grandma in the morning and then also gave us money to go out to Lonestar with my other grandma and uncles and aunt.. oh and Jerry (my grandma's fiance)... (believe me there are much weirder things in my family than my grandma having a fiance.)

Anywho, the first grandma (my mom's mom) gave me money after we ate to buy a purse that caught my eye at Target. Said purse is that first picture up there. (Isn't it awesome?! and it's reversible!)
Onto the second and third pictures: Oh hey! look at that! It looks like it's almost done... hang on... why is the top all ruffly? That's not what it's supposed to look like... Well, maybe it'll look better on, right? Okay, next step in the pattern is to close up the hole in the underarm using 3needle bind off... Wait just a second... There are 2o-some stitches on the sleeve and only 16 on the main part of the body... there needs to be the same number of stitches for three needle bind off, right? Let's check the pattern. *checks pattern... hits head on wall* That's right folks, I put too many stitches on waste yarn allllll the way back at the join of the sleeves... That, and I had my mom try it on as is and the top is still ruffly with it on. All of this means I have to undo all of my work from the past week and do it again.
As you can imagine, I was quite miffed about all of this and decided to take it out on the project by ignoring the project... so I worked on my Slytherin scarf instead. So, the 4th picture is my progress on that. I have the first stripe pattern done! :D?
Oh, and I stopped at JoAnn's on mother's day too and I picked up some clearance yarn for a pair of colorful socks (hopefully I have enough for knee-highs and hopefully I'll finish this pair of socks). I'll post the picture of that yarn some other time... probably the first time that I mess up something in the Harry Potter Plot (tehe.. I like that name....) and decide to work on something else for awhile. Toodles!

Mother's Day!

So, unfortunately my Harry Potter items must be put on hiatus for a short time while I finish up my mum's Mother's Day present (and it'll probably have to pass as her bday present too because that's coming up and I'm broke :S). I'm very proud of myself because the shirt that I'm making for my mum is actually starting to look like a shirt. Check out the picture up there... Isn't it just awesome? Okay, well maybe I'm just weird but it's awesome to me. The color, black with silver and gold running through it, is perfect for my mom as is the pattern (Tempting II on knitty.com). She helped pick both out so I know she'll like it and the last time she saw me working on it, it was just a tube so she should be somewhat surprised once I'm done... I hoped to be done by Mother's Day.. but that would mean a lot of work tonight... I'll be close though. Oh, and I love the minimum finishing work. I know that once I start doing sweaters and stuff... the finishing work will be the bane of my existence. I'll put off finishing the project just to avoid the finishing work.. I know it will happen.

Anyway, the first two pictures are my progress so far on my Slytherin scarf and I hope that these pictures assure Sarah that my gray yarn is in fact gray and not pink like it appeared to be in the other picture.
The 3rd picture is of my progress on my mum's shirt. It actually looks like a shirt finally! Also, I'm almost done! The last picture I had to include because I just love the color pattern for this shirt. It's dark.. yet shiny.. Unfortunately, my camera (or maybe it's just me) sucks at taking up close pictures so it's very blurry :'( . Anyway, for anyone who wants to know, the yarn I'm using for the shirt is Red Heart Fiesta. The color is called "black" but as you see, it's not just black.
Wish me luck as I try to finish up this shirt as quickly as possible!

Woot! New Plans!

I told you I'd change my to do list. Sarah and I have decided that we will be dressing up properly for the 6th Harry Potter movie in November. So, we're both knitting ourselves sweater vests and scarves while her sister, Mary, sews us up some ties. Sarah will be a Ravenclaw and Mary, Seth (my bf), and I will be Slytherin. I think we out number you Sarah.

Anyway, I now have 2 Slytherin sweater vests and 3 Slytherin scarves that I'm supposed to have done before November 21st. I'm still not sure I can manage it. However, I'll not be giving up easily and I've already started the first scarf (mine :P ). I know, I've barely started it (that's the picture up there with just a few stitches cast on) but I'll have at least a few inches done by the end of the night I think.
The other picture is a screenshot from PoA. Malfoy's cronie on the right is wearing my scarf... or at least that's what my scarf is supposed to look like...

My plan B (if I can't finish the extra vest and scarf for Seth) is to write "MUGGLE" in big letters on a plain t-shirt and make him wear that. (I got that idea from a picture I found online while looking for ideas)

Oh, and Sarah was thinking it might be neat to have the house mittens too... I highly doubt I'll get that far... but then again, mittens are fun...

First post.. again.

So, this is my second blog ... because the first one is screwy and it says I never started a blogger account yet my friend can still go to my other blog. But I can't get to it, so here's my new one. This will be my spot to report on any knitting updates, the latest Harry Potter Fanfic I've been reading (or writing), and pretty much anything else. Let's see... Well, I can finally post this picture of the mittens I finished. I really like making mittens. They seem to knit up really fast for me and they look really nice too. However, my sizing is a bit off. The first pair that I made for Sarah were way too big and now these that I made for Seth's nurse (long story) might be a bit too small... She said she had small hands though... I'd planned on posting a picture of the Pineapple Upside Down Cake of Holy DOOM!!! but I seem to have lost the picture soo... I'd rather post knitting pictures anyway.
Let's see, current projects (in order of current importance):
My mom's Mother's Day present (Knitty.com Tempting II)
Kid's socks (I can't seem to finish a pair of socks so I'm trying them in a smaller size :D)
The many bags I've started and not finished
Sarah's B-day/ xmas present (sorry sra but your bday's not until december. I have some time)
The many patterns I find and want to do before the other stuff on this list (and I probably will)
Basically, my mom's present is the most important right now. All the other things will move around a gazillion times before I finish them all (if I finish them all).
Oh, and I need to start working on a plan to start a knitting group at our school or at least in our area somewhere.
I just noticed that this has become my to do list concerning knitting. lol.. well, I guess that works too, huh?
