FanFic Recommendation

Oh! I forgot to recommend fanfics!  How could I forget that?

I recently discovered this video on Youtube:
Harry Potter in 99 Seconds
I am now obsessed with it.  I really want to put it on as a ring tone, but... Seth might kill me... lol
Another thing that I finally watched was the series on YouTube of A Very Potter Musical.  It's awesome, but the sequel, A Very Potter Sequel is even better, though only if you've seen the first one first.  They are quite long, just a head's up.

Also, I am just starting to read a story on fanfiction.net with an OC that could be considered borderline Mary-Sue, but I'm being forgiving because of the explanation at the bottom of the author's bio page.  Also, according to that same bio page this author has actually published books as well, which I'm considering checking out after reading her fanfiction.  The first story in the fanfiction series that I'm starting is called Krait Book 1 Slytherin's Heiress.  So far, Snape is sent to pick up and bring this 15 year old girl to Hogwart's who until now was somehow hidden from the magic sensors while she lived at her nun-run orphanage.  She's a very intelligent and unusual girl who just so happens to be Tom Riddle's daughter.  She could be considered to be Mary-Sue, because in the first few chapters it is apparent that she is going to be very powerful, she's extremely intelligent, has a wit to challenge Snape, has a head for strategy that would put Salizar, himself, to shame, and she's not bad looking either.  It's so well written though so far that I haven't given up on it when usually I would have immediately.

Okay, NOW I'll go to the Sprint store and to visit Aunt Tina...
So, I'm still not sure if I'll get any pictures into this post, but I felt like venting a bit...  Last night, we went to the new ZapZone laser tag place in Ann Arbor.  We had a blast... until we got outside to my car.  Someone smashed in my passenger window and robbed us.  Yeah.  We were even parked right in front of the building.  I was pissed.  In one sense, we were lucky, and in another sense I'm just more annoyed at the stupidity of whoever did it because the only thing stolen was my crappy old purse that was almost broken anyway and Seth's crappy old phone that he just reactivated because he needed a phone that didn't require a data plan.  Sure, my wallet was of course in my purse so I lost my ID and my debit card, but my account balance was only at $55 so I doubt they got much (I have my account set up to deny the transaction if it would go over the amount I have in the bank). Not to mention I reported it stolen immediately, though I was able to look at my online banking before they blocked the account and I found out that they had stopped at gas stations all along Carpenter and charged pre-auth's to my account.  I'm not really sure what that means...  I mean, did they get gas 4 or 5 different times? or did they try to get gas 4 or 5 different times and get denied?

Anyway, the reason why I'm so frustrated is that they had to break my window just to steal a crappy old Rant phone that might sell for $20 now and a purse that had no money in it and nothing valuable at all in it when -  get this - there was a $600 brand new phone sitting right next to the Rant and there was another purse (Sra's) that the idiot completely ignored!  Not to mention the fact that I had (uncharacteristically) left the keys under the seat and only took in the electronic lock/unlock part.  I'm glad he didn't, but he could have stolen the entire car with no problem!

To me, the moral of this story is that I need to carry purses that don't look like they're worth shit!  That's the only thing I can think of for why he broke into a car just to steal a crappy phone, which was actually in Seth's coat pocket sitting on the passenger seat and my purse, which was sitting either on the passenger seat or on top of the center console.  The purse was one of those knock-off ones that is supposed to look like some name brand.  I think I bought it at Kohl's at least 5 years ago.  I mean, what else could have possibly caused this guy to break into my car?!  It's completely ridiculous!

All this guy did was get cops looking for him (not very hard, mind you) and cause more annoying work for me without actually succeeding in stealing anything!  The worst parts of this whole problem is that I'm going to have to pay for my window to be fixed, Seth lost all of his computer repair customers numbers, and I didn't get to go to the hospital to see Aunt Tina last night like I had been planning.  Oh, and I'm going to be finding shards of glass in my car and the coat that was in the car for months probably...  Oh, and I had to come back up here and add that my phone got wet while we were out sitting in the rain waiting for the cop to show up so now I have to go to the Sprint store and see if I can get it replaced or if I'm going to have to leave it in a bowl of rice for a night...

If you managed to read through all of that ranting, I'm surprised...  *sigh*

On to happier things that I was trying to post previously and got fed up with pictures:

This is my first completed and photographed spun yarn!  It's not perfect but that's some of its appeal. I'm attempted to knit socks out of it, but I'm not sure how that's going to turn out...  The sock pattern is this one:  Hermione's Everyday Socks
I only have about and inch of the cuff done so far and no pictures because my phone is currently broken...

This is the horrible picture I took of the kittens we got a few weeks ago.  They don't constantly hide anymore, though the black one in front - Narcissa, or Cissa or Sissy for short - still won't willingly be touched. The one in the back is Little Miss and she is super playful and will come to anyone.  Complete opposites these two sisters...  Little Miss also eats constantly and is fattening up quickly while Cissa waits for  Missy to be done eating usually leaving her with almost nothing to eat.  They play together no problem and Cissa will even play right next to us but at the first sign of us trying to touch her she sprints.  The only time we have pet her was the few times that Seth has endured the scratching to grab her from her hiding place.  And even then she'll cower for a bit and let us pet her but as soon as she finds an opening she sprints.  I really feel like when Seth catches her it's just making her not trust us that much more... *shrug*  I'm not really sure though.  She's so pretty and elegant though.  This picture does NOT do her justice.  Missy is just cute and playful, not pretty and elegant...  Obviously this picture doesn't do her justice as you can barely even see her with her head stuck in the corner like that...

Well, I'm off to the Sprint store and to see Aunt Tina.  I can't do the Secretary of State thing or call the insurance company until tomorrow morning, so after that I'm headed back home to watch some Glee with Magz and Sra. :-)

Buh Bye!!
